My Journey To Becoming A Therapist

DSC_7771_websize_edited.jpg

I’m no different from the clients I see. Like everyone else, I'm human. I've been through both wonderful and difficult experiences that have shaped who I am and how I help.

I struggled through many years of anxiety and depression, feeling like I wasn't good enough, overwhelmed with the normal ups and downs of life. I experienced postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety during all three of my pregnancies and did not know how to get myself out of it. Seeking help from a therapist changed my life and helped me realize I am stronger and more resilient than I knew and the power to heal was already inside of me, waiting to be discovered.

My life experiences are what lead me to become the therapist I am today.

Helping People Is What I Look Forward To Every Day

Being a therapist is an honor. I love guiding people toward positive changes and witnessing them achieve more fulfilling lives. The most rewarding thing about being a therapist is seeing a person walk away lighter, freer, and excited about their life.

I am committed to helping you make progress toward your goals.

I Have Empathy For Others And Bring Warmth And Understanding To Sessions

I have a natural ability to:

  • Understand people's experiences

  • Help people feel comfortable

  • Collaborate with people to set goals and help them reach them

  • Help clients heal their past and manage the present

People who know me often say that I am a good listener who can help others feel heard and understood.  The biggest predictor of a successful therapeutic outcome is actually the quality of the relationship we build.  I will do my best to create a warm and safe environment that promotes comfort and security for you to share what's going on in your life.

Our Sessions Are Focused On You

Sessions will provide you with the space to be understood and heard.

It's important to me to provide a non-judgemental space where you can be yourself and create safety within the session. There isn't a "one size fits all" approach to therapy. Our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns.
